Quando eu uso o First Conditional?

​

- Use o First Conditional para falar sobre uma situação e consequência que pode acontecer no futuro. A situação precisa ser uma possibilidade real no futuro. Não significa que temos certeza de que vai acontecer, apenas que é possível.

“If it rains tomorrow, I will stay at home.”

 

First Conditional - Como Formar

​

If + present simple | will + infinitivo

​

Affirmative: “If I finish work early, I will go to the cinema.”
Negative: “If she doesn't study, she won't pass the exam.”
Question: “Will you tell me, if she calls”? 

​

A parte com if usa o Present Simple, mesmo quando estamos falando sobre o futuro.

“If I have time tomorrow, I will visit my friend.”

​

Não usamos will depois de if.

❌ “If I will have time, I will visit my friend.”❌

✅ “If I have time, I will visit my friend.”✅

​

Também podemos colocar a parte com 'if' depois da consequência.

“I will go to the beach if the weather is good.”

​

Quando a frase começa com 'if', normalmente usamos uma vírgula entre as duas partes.

“If it is sunny, we will go to the beach.”

​

Quando a parte com 'if' vem depois, não precisamos usar uma vírgula.

“We will go to the beach if it is sunny.”

​

Negativo – First Conditional

Podemos usar a forma negativa tanto na parte com 'if' quanto na parte com 'will'.

​

Para fazer a parte com if negativa, usamos o Present Simple negativo.

“If I don't have time, I will call you tomorrow.”

“If she doesn't study, she won't pass the exam.”

​

Para fazer a parte com will negativa, usamos won't + infinitivo.

“If it rains, we won't go to the park.”

“If you don't hurry, you won't catch the bus.”

​

O Interrogativo - First Conditional

Colocamos o 'will' antes do sujeito para fazer uma pergunta. A parte do 'if' fica igual, sem alterações.

​

Will + sujeito + infinitivo | if + Present Simple?

​

“Will you go to the beach if the weather is good?”

“Will she come if we invite her?”

​

Também podemos começar a pergunta com uma question word.

“What will you do if it rains tomorrow?”

“Where will you go if you have a holiday?”

“Who will you call if you have a problem?”

Afirmativo

If + Present Simple, will + infinitivo

“If I have time, I will help you.”

​

Negativo

If + don't/doesn't + infinitivo | won't + infinitivo

“If she doesn't study, she won't pass the exam.”

​

Interrogativo

Will + sujeito + infinitivo |if + Present Simple

“Will you help me if I ask you?”

Importante

Depois de 'if', use o Present Simple, não 'will'.
